Alec Syme
President / Creative Director

Coming from an incredibly creative family, Alec found art school to be a perfect fit. Commercial art was particularly interesting to Alec even early on. Alec soon took to airbrushing like it was going out of style...which it was...

Computers became interesting in about 1993. Within 6 months he bought a Mac and started freelancing. 3D had taken over. This was his future. It's all he did.

Apart from the passion of digital art, Alec is married to a goddess with 3 sons and a beautiful daughter. He loves bass guitar and routinely annoys his family with his Rickenbacker and Stingrays.

Shawn Letendre
Lead Technical Director

Looking back at his youth and how he liked to draw and create, Shawn thought animation would be a great fit. He attended The Art Institutes International of Minnesota in 2003 and soon discovered how limitless 3D can be.  After graduation Shawn landed an internship with Fuse Animation.He then worked his butt off proving he was worthy of full time employment, and the rest is history.

Joe Marx
Lead Model Developer

A former english major, Joe decided to pursue art as a career and graduated from the Art Institutes International Minnesota in 2007.

After graduation, he spent some time freelancing while working full time as a sign maker and designer, until he began working at FUSE in January 2011. He is a frequent participant in online illustration challenges and has had several pieces featured in illustration publication.

Chris Korn
Lead Animation Supervisor

Originally from Colorado, Chris moved to Minneapolis in 2001 to get his degree in film-making. While in school he started getting drawn into animation. First stop motion, then CG. After graduation he worked on a number of films, creating props, and special effects make-ups, while at the same time feverishly perusing this new found love for digital art. In May of 2007 he started employment at Fuse. Since then Chris Has combined all of this accumulated knowledge in film, special effects, and CG, bringing to life various creatures both cute and hideous.

Downtime for Chris involves tattoos, movies, and long walks in the park. And yes, that is a Yoda baby.

Chris Broeska
Producer

Chris Broeska was born in Calgary Alberta Canada.

He attended Applied Multimedia Training Center in Winnipeg Manitoba where he recieved two diplomas in Multimedia Technologies and later in 3D Animation and special effects Looking to expand his creative skill he attended Red River College where he received his degree in graphic design.

After working in California for a while he decided to move to Minneapolis where he worked at Hybrid Medical Animation as a modeller and animator. After a few years of that FUSE called with an offer he couldn't refuse. Now Chris has been put to work managing clients as well as continuing to model and animate at Minneapolis' hottest 3D shop.


 

Josh Grundmeier
Rendering / Visual Effects Artist

Growing up on a farm in northwest Iowa, Josh might have honed his work ethic doing farm chores, but his nerd teeth were cut on Nintendo games, plastic models, and an Apple II-e. Josh learned at an early age that he could combine his artistic skills with his nerdery and was soon hooked on creating computer generated art.

He graduated from the Art Institutes International in 2002 with two degrees and has since been refining his vast skillset at Hybrid Medical Animation. He comes to Fuse ready to put his artistic arsenal to good use.
