The advantage of pre-visualization is that it allows directors to experiment with different staging and art direction options – such as lighting, camera placement and movement, stage direction and editing - without having to incur the costs of actual production. On larger budget projects, the directors work with actors in the visual effects department. Pre-visualizations can add music, sound effects and dialogue to closely emulate the look of fully produced and edited sequences, and are most encountered in scenes that involve stunts and special effects.

At FUSE, we have a state of the art motion capture facility on site that allows us to produce fantastic animation at breakneck speeds. Below is a great example of one of these animated storyboards that facilitates the director’s vision when it comes time to shoot. This piece was put out in 4 days from our team at FUSE.
This is a great example of the flexibility of Virtual Photography. Previously their team of photographers would shoot old acrylic molds and other props dating to the 70’s. This cover marks a landmark event for General Mills as this is the first time they’ve tried 3D digital assets for their milk pours. It was a huge hit. They loved the flexibility, speed and savings of working with FUSE.

Tradeshows have always been a great place to showcase the newest breakthroughs in technology and innovative products, and the 2012 NSSF Shot Show was no different. A few months ago, Revo Brand Group had contacted FUSE to help them create a trade show animation which would showcase the features for a new rifle from Thompson/Center. After some frantic deadlines, we all came through with some sharp, informative animation for the show.

With 60,000 people in attendance, the buzz on the show floor was rumored to be the T/C Dimension Rifle from Thompson/Center. Attendees lined up to see how this new rifle’s groundbreaking features were brilliantly captured in the animations created by FUSE. Even before lunch, the sales team had surpassed their projected sales figures for the next six months.

Needless to say it was an extremely successful launch.

It's been a combination of non-disclosure agreements and bigger projects that have taken us longer to produce. Well, after a couple months of diligent work we've finally completed this informational video for Gruppo and IBM with art direction from the famous Ogilvy and Mather of New York.

A few months ago Ogilvy and Mather approached us looking for a bid for this upcoming project. It needed to be an abstract animation featuring keys. We decided to submit a little test animation we had created over the weekend along with our bid. That way they could see what our ideas for this project were.

Well, it worked.

They were so impressed with the concept, very little changed from our test movie to the final animation. Below we have the full video for you to enjoy as well as the test below that won us the project.

It was really exciting to have worked with Ogilvy and Mather on this project.
